Lee Banks

Cert CII – Founder & Managing Director

Lee started his career over 25 years ago in the usual manner of “falling into” insurance.  Working his way up from the bottom in call centre operations selling insurance to affinity partnerships, he then went onto his first job in the City as a runner for a syndicate in the world-famous Lloyds of London.   A variety of roles followed for local and large national brokers, holding senior and management positions specialising in the Transport & Logistics sector.

In 2014 it was time to branch out on his own and with his wealth of knowledge and industry partnerships Lee set up ERB Commercial Risks.  ERB was formed with a clear vision of providing clients with bespoke products and unparalleled service.

Kathryn Banks

Cert CII – Finance & Compliance Director

Kate joined ERB in 2015 after 15 years working in Big 4 Accountancy firms.  Initially training as a personal income tax adviser for EY, working on large expatriate tax programmes and liaising with corporate HR and individuals on their UK and US tax affairs, she then moved to central roles in Risk and Auditor Independence.  This background dovetailed perfectly with her current role overseeing ERB’s finances and regulatory compliance requirements. 

Kate’s first summer job was working as a junior in credit control for Equity Red Star in Brentwood, a few hundred feet from where she now spends her days overseeing the team’s professional standards.

Steve Chilton

Cert CII – Account Director

Steve’s extensive career in the insurance industry, covering both brokerage and underwriting roles, gives him a unique perspective.  This experience has honed his ability to evaluate business with a commercial mindset at every level, ensuring comprehensive coverage for his clients. His approach is meticulous and all-encompassing, leaving no aspect of a risk unexamined which translates into the most cost effective and far-reaching insurance packages available.

During the 2020 Covid pandemic downturn, Steve was one of the few brokers in the UK to secure a premium refund for a national building contractor, a feat achieved through negotiation rather than standard coverage terms.  This accomplishment not only underscores Steve’s expertise but also his commitment to advocating for his clients’ financial interests in unprecedented times.

Lisa Bevan

Cert CII – Client Service Manager

Lisa has been working in the insurance industry since leaving school and has over 35 years of experience in various roles.  She joined ERB in 2016 after working together in a previous employ as a Leads Generator.  Her bubbly disposition has secured new and existing clients, and she has now taken on the responsibility of the role of Client Service Manager whereby she regularly communicates with all clients and assists with administrative queries in a friendly and professional manner.

Lisa is prepared to go the extra mile and is always happy to help.  Her extensive knowledge in all aspects of insurance allows her to support any other part of the business, ensuring the clients expectations are always met.

Zoe Leete

Cert CII – Claims Manager

Zoe embarked on her career in the insurance industry straight out of school and gained extensive experience at well-known companies such as GRE, Aviva, QBE, and Direct Commercial Ltd. Her early roles in both Accounts and Underwriting Departments laid the foundation for her successful transition to the Claims Department in the late 1990s, where she discovered her passion for Commercial Motor claims.

With a career spanning over 25 years, Zoe brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as Claims Manager at ERB, where she joined in June 2022.  Her commitment to providing a personalised claims service is evident in her ability to offer expert advice and regular updates throughout the claims process. Zoe’s dedication to excellence ensures that clients receive top-notch support and guidance every step of the way.
